Hi
I would like to ask regarding zero Neutrophils, I had my stem cells transplant August 2017 from unrelated donor10/10 match, but before and after transplant I became unwell with CMV, been treated and back home last month again I was hospitalised for CMV, every time would take two weeks for my Neutrophils recover to normal with G-CSF, but this time is nearly three weeks and still it is Zero, I am getting worry, thanks for your help.
Thanks God my Neutrophils is back to normal. I am home and recovering well.
Hi Fay,
I’ve just picked up on your post. That’s good news that your counts have picked up again. It must be worrying when it happens, particularly if it happens regularly.
I presume it is the CMV or another infection that has knocked your counts down?
Glad it’s recovered for now. How are you feeling generally with your recovery? Has it gone smoothly apart from the CMV?
All the best,
Steve
Thanks Steve, yes the CMV is the cause, I hope to be clear of it .
Be positive. I too had zero lymphocytes for longer than normal in 2015. In my case some two weeks. When they started to recover it wasamazingly quick to reach normal levels. I just attained my 70th. There’s still life in the old dog, I had AML and had an alogeinic bmt.
Sorry Fay, just saw your later post. Glad to hear your neutrophils are normalised. Keith
